Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency medical procedure for a victim of cardiac or respiratory arrest. CPR is performed in hospitals, in the community by Samaritans or by emergency response professionals. Proper administration of CPR can often save a persons life. Laureate Medical Institute offers training and certification in First Aid and CPR. CPR certification and First Aid certification are issued in partnership with American Heart Association® and are valid for 2 years from date of issue.

We now offer certifications for Heartsaver Evaluator and Bloodborne Pathogen. (OSHA compliant)

All Basic Life Support procedures demonstrated at Laureate Medical Institute adheres to the same guidelines as the American Heart Association®, and are intended to provide the cognitive skills needed to administer CPR and First Aid in case of an emergency.
